Anteojos, Life Through My Lenses captures the essence of perspective.
It embraces tradition, culture, and family.
This is the story of a Mexican-American female who falls captive
to her great-grandmother’s glasses. After putting them on
at the age of five, she begins a quest to discover what it was she
saw through those life lookers. They held
a new perspective.
She discusses her past and contemplates her future. Her memories,
based on what she sees, serve as her guide to self-discovery. As
she gets older, she realizes there is more to glasses than what
meets the eye. They hold a message. It is fortune. It is about what
has happened and what is going to happen. More importantly, it’s
about what is happening.
The focus lies on four Mujeres/Women and their views, through their
own lenses. We take a flight through the lives of these four women
who have served as clear inspirations. A view is presented as to
how glasses offered each of them, and the author, a new outlook
on living. It is about visions. It is about life.
